私はこれまで東アジアの街に散見される看板や商店街のマスコットから影響を受け、作品を制作してきました。本展では、カルチャーや流行から外れたマスコットたちの姿を大量のスケッチを元に再形成し昇華した作品を中心に展示します。多くの人に認識されることのないそれらのマスコットたちへ、権威に従属せざるを得ず、社会に取りこぼされた人々を重ねて意思表明を行います。

I have created works influenced by the signage and shopping district mascots scatter-found across East Asian cities. This exhibition centers on works that reshape and sublimate these mascots—figures sidelined by mainstream culture and trends—based on a vast collection of sketches. By overlapping these unacknowledged mascots with people marginalized by society who are forced to submit to authority, Soeda makes a distinct statement.
