覆い被さった影の中から、眠っていた普遍的な記憶を引っ張り出す。自分の存在価値を見出す素材が必ずどこかにある。あの日、傷ついた自分をなかったことにはしない。この瞬間を生きながらえる術に、過去のぬくもりを活用しながら静かに向き合っていく。

小さい頃、祖母と2人で映画を観た。「崖の上のポニョ」が観たくて、映画館に連れて行ってもらった。上映開始からすぐ、祖母は寝息を立てていた。帰り際、祖母は言った。「面白かったね、坂の上のポニー」

From the shadows that enveloped me, I pulled forth the universal memory that lay dormant. Somewhere, there must be the material to find my own worth. That day, I will not pretend the wounded self never existed. I will quietly confront the art of surviving this moment, utilising the warmth of the past.

When I was little, I went to the cinema with my grandmother to see Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea. Soon after the screening began, she was snoring. On the way home, she said, ‘That was lovely, wasn’t it? Pony on the Hill.’
