Our cities are filled with characters of unknown origin and anonymous signage motifs. I have long paid attention to these images—drawn by "someone," yet belonging to "no one"—and used them as the source of my work.
In this exhibition, Shimmering Days, I step into a more internal realm—facing not the needs of others, but the inescapable discomfort and unnamed friction swirling within myself.
The childhood sensation of seeing the front of a car as if it were a human face—I revisited that perspective, so difficult to recall as an adult. Events that feel like ordeals today might have been things I enjoyed with innocent wonder back then. Unpainted margins, distorted canvases—these exist as expressions that do not assume completion as their end goal. They serve to prevent us from losing our own inner radiance, distracted as we often are by the rigid standards of common sense and fixed notions of completeness.
