グループ展「一人遊びの果てに」より。山中雪乃、添田奈那、米澤柊、yak yakによる展示「play A」。一人遊びのように展開される探索的な制作のなかで、作家たちは自他の、あるいは虚実の入り混じった存在に出会う。​

我々の相棒と揶揄されるペットとしての犬は、長い歴史の中で人間による品種改造からあらゆる種類が生産された。「愛らしさ」を重要視された結果、生命活動に影響を及ぼす体つきを持つ品種もいる。我々もそうだ。社会を生き抜くために、合わないことをやらなければいけなかったり、後天的な愛嬌を強いられることがある。自分らしさとは社会をスムーズに生き抜く上では足枷でしかないのだろうか。

Dogs, often mockingly referred to as our faithful companions, have been bred into countless varieties through human modification over a long history. As a result of prioritizing "cuteness," some breeds are born with physical traits that threaten their very survival. We are no different. To survive in society, we are often forced to do things that do not suit us, or compelled to put on an acquired charm. Is being true to oneself nothing more than a shackle when trying to navigate society smoothly?
